Samsung Galaxy S25 FE emerges in WPC listing
While all eyes are set on Samsung’s upcoming foldable launching later today, the Galaxy S25 FE managed to sneak up as it received certification from the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC). We get confirmation that the device will support Qi 2.1 wireless charging standard.
We also get a live look at the S25 FE (SM-S731) which will follow in the footsteps of its predecessor in terms of design with a triple camera setup and metal camera rings. The listing specifies the S25 FE supports the Basic Power Profile (BPP) at 5W speeds which is likely not true as the S24 FE already supports 15W speeds.
Galaxy S25 FE is expected to feature a 6.7-inch flagship Super AMOLED display with thinner bezels than the outgoing S24FE. Samsung is also bringing an updated 12MP selfie cam and the same 50MP main and 8MP 3x telephoto and 12MP ultrawide rear cameras on the back.
There have been conflicting reports on which chipset is set to power the device. Older rumors suggest it will get the same Exynos 2400e as the S24 FE but there’s also talk that it might get MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 or the full-fledged Exynos 2400 according to a listing on Geekbench.
Last year’s Galaxy S24FE was released in October so we may very well see a similar launch timeframe for the S25FE.
